As a local Imagination Library affiliate, we know getting books into the homes of young children is a key step toward early literacy and kindergarten readiness.

The Dollywood Foundation supports the administrative functions of Imagination Libraries across the nation. Local affiliates like Imagination Library of Ketchikan are responsible for fundraising and book registration for their communities.

Imagination Library of Ketchikan launched in December of 2020 as a Ketchikan Wellness Coalition taskforce with early funding support from RYC and private donors.

How It Works:

Any child age 0-5 located in the Ketchikan Gateway Borough is eligible to enroll.

Children living outside of KGB may be eligible through their community’s affiliate. Search for your community on I maginationLibrary.com.

In 6-8 weeks, your child will receive their first book in the mail. ‘The Little Engine That Could’.
Books arrive in the mail monthly until your child’s 5th birthday.

Sponsor a Child

The average retail cost of Imagination Library titles is about $14.30 per book. However, by purchasing in volume, the Imagination Library is able to acquire and mail customized titles for about $2.60 per child per month.
