Recycling In Ketchikan

Dry corrugated board is accepted at the dump. Don’t forget to break the boxes down. Food cardboard, like cereal boxes, are not accepted.

Glass gets the chance to have one more purpose. When brought to the dump, glass is ground into fine sand and used as filler in the landfill. It is better than letting it sit whole in a landfill in Washington State.

Aluminum cans can be recycled at the dump for FREE! Even better, all the money earned from the cans goes to PeaceHealth’s New Beginnings. Please give them a rinse!
