Decrease stigma associated with depression and mental illness

Our Mission

Who we are

We are a group of like-minded community members who are committed to a common goal: improving mental wellbeing and reducing suicide.

The group consists of mental health professionals, teachers, faith leaders, medical providers, business professionals, parents, first responders, and others.

What we do

We work together to implement  initiatives and strategies that will positively impact the community and support our mission – including, but not limited to: Mental Health Awareness Month, Suicide Prevention Month, Community Postvention Response Planning, youth prevention coalition, postpartum support group, Peer Support Specialist Certification Training, and more.

We always welcome new members who are passionate about supporting the mental well-being of the Ketchikan community.

  • Ketchikan 123

A one-stop shop to find what you need when you need it - this resource directory provides relevant resources for all health and wellness needs.

  • Media & Community Conversations

We use various media platforms to amplify community voices to normalize difficult conversations.

  • Community Postvention Plan

Postvention is a planned response to a suicide death that’s designed to help with healing and to decrease the risk of further suicides.
