Polar Bear Plunge
The Ketchikan Polar Bear Plunge is an annual New Year’s Day event at Refuge Cove Beach where participants take a quick, cold dip in the ocean to raise awareness for mental health and wellness.
Organized by the Ketchikan Wellness Coalition, the event is free, with some benefits of plunging including increased energy and improved circulation. It is a chance to start the year with a splash and support a good cause!
